458 Squadron Website Photo Albums Project

Our major project to digitize the two Squadron Photo Albums has kicked off. Thanks to Vic Flight Historian Peter & Pauline Hedgcock (with assistance from Vic Flight Secretary/Treasurer Jeremy Orchard) who have been given permission by the Australian War Memorial (AWM) to commence this massive and historic effort. Within the next 6 months we should see a digitized version of these Album pages/photographs on the website. These Albums, comprising over 200 pages each, are a highly significant record of the Squadron's service during WWII and their post war activities. The website reproduction of these Albums is another key milestone in preserving and perpetuating the Squadron's history.
