Chapter 15 'To Italy and Northward" (page 163) of our Official Squadron History 'We Find and Destroy' Current/2002 edition describes F/LT Andrew's initiative: "The CO obtained a flat in Ancona, and kept it going throughout the time they were there. It was lacking comforts until F/Lt A. K. 'Bunny' Byrne, who had been one of the first into Rimini after that city was taken, returned with a party in a 3-ton truck to get some furniture. Rimini was heavily booby-trapped and the procedure was to tie a cord to a desired item, retire a discreet distance and then move it by pulling the cord. Byrne's trip and subsequent ones, succeeded in very adequately furnishing the flat in Ancona and the Flight Offices."
