HMT Stirling Castle

Just wondering if anyone could help me out with trying to get together some information on my great grand father Frederick Ayres’ homecoming after the war ended. One of his last entries in his log book was H.M.T Stirling Castle – it’s a troop ship that brought our boys home from war. As far as I can tell, this is how he would have got home. Maybe someone, somewhere might have travelled at the same time on the same ship as he did & maybe have some more information. I have tried to match up photos of him on the deck & I am pretty sure he was on the H.M.T Stirling Castle.
