Flying Officer Robert (Bob) McKerlie Croft

F/O Croft served with 458 Squadron and then went on to serve with 463 Squadron. The attached article: 'Crash Eyewitness' * Page 1 , Page 2, Page 3, Page 4 tells the heroic but fateful mission on 10/11 May, 1944 in which he was involved. A vital mission preparing for the D-Day landings in June 1944. Also briefly described at this AWM webpage, titled “Group portrait of the crew of "K" for Kitty, a Vickers Wellington bomber of 458 Squadron RAAF”.

Bob is remembered by us all, including at the AWM & VWMA and the Highgate RSL.
